Editorial Policy
This policy explains how WA Travel Guides researches and maintains travel information.
Research and sourcing
Changeable facts such as public transport, park entry, road access and attraction operating conditions are checked against first-party or official sources where available. We link to those sources on priority pages so travellers can confirm the latest position before booking.
Writing standards
- Recommendations must explain who a place or option suits and what the trade-offs are.
- Safety and access wording avoids guarantees where conditions can change.
- Prices, timetables and seasonal claims are dated or described as changeable.
- Translated pages should contain complete native-language copy, not mixed-language placeholders.
Updates
A page’s updated date changes only when its substantive content has been reviewed or corrected. Template-only changes do not justify a fresh editorial date.
Commercial separation
Affiliate relationships do not determine rankings, inclusion or the wording of recommendations. Commercial modules are labelled and kept secondary to the trip-planning content. See the affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Readers and operators may report errors through the contact form. Requests are evaluated against reliable evidence under the corrections policy.
